Celtic Explosion

  • Broomfield Auditorium 3 Community Park Road Broomfield, CO, 80020 United States (map)

The Rocky Mountain Brassworks, a British style brass band centered in the metro area, again presents our annual celebration of all things Celtic in - “Celtic Explosion”.

This terrific ensemble of 30 brass players and 4 percussionists will thrill you, the audience, with wonderful music from the British Isles and beyond. You’ll hear terrific music like “Amazing Grace”, and “Highland Cathedral” along with some new music that will tell the tale of the people from Scotland, Ireland, Wales, and England.

To help with the story telling will be a fantastic video presentation to make the music come alive. You’ll be able to see pictures from the British Isles and beyond as you listen to the wonderful music prepared by the brass band. You’ll also be thrilled with the terrific story telling with our emcee explaining things about the music.

Another spectacular feature of this concert will be the presentation of the pipers from the El Jebel Pipe Band. These 9 pipers and drummers bring the excitement of the pipes to the stage and, with the band, present some fabulous music such as “Sterling Of Kier” and “Bays of Harris”. The pipers will also present some terrific solo music and will play during intermission in the lobby.

Once again the band will feature the Rocky Mountain Highland Dancers performing in the distinct Scottish style of dance along with the band and the pipers. There will also be a performance by the wonderful McTeggart Irish Dancers and their rousing performance of Irish dance. Both of these fabulous dance groups will perform with the band and the pipers. Don’t miss their exciting performances in the lobby during intermission.

This show will be everything that you want to hear in Celtic music and dance performed on the stage of the great Parker Arts Culture and Events Center on March 24 with a matinee at 2 p.m. No one will want to miss this spectacular event of music, performance and culture presented by the Rocky Mountain Brassworks in March.
