The Brassworks has been playing fantastic Celtic concerts for several years. The band will continue this tradition with another concert featuring the Happy Feet Scottish Dance Academy, Celtic Steps Irish Dance School, El Jebel Pipers and much MUCH more. For Veterans Day, the Brassworks will play music to honor the service of our many veterans. For this concert, the band will also feature the El Jebel Pipe Band and the recently installed grand theater organ now in the Lakewood Cultural Center. The theater organ will be played by a master of theater organs who is also a member of the American Theater Organ Association. This will be a fantastic concert for all in honor of America's veterans!
The Rocky Mountain Brassworks will perform at the annual Veterans Day Celebration sponsored by the American Legion Post in Broomfield. There will be a special guest speaker and also a performance by the Broomfield Chorale. This is always a moving event and it is FREE. This is NOT the same concert performance as the Star Spangled Review in Lakewood on the 11th. The Brassworks will only perform for a short time at this event.
The band has been invited to participate with the Wheat Ridge High School band program in their first concert of the year. Wheat Ridge will featuring their Wind symphony and Symphonic bands. This is a donation concert (collected at the door). This terrific band program has excelled over the years and their director, Charles Crag, has done an amazing job with the students. This will be a worthwhile addition to your evening concert going experiences.
The band will play music highlighting all of the parts of a British style brass band. There will be music featuring the percussion section by Newton, fun music by Barry, and large symphonic works by Ralph Vaughn Williams and Gordon Langford.
